Sonar supports 1-way SMS with almost every country in the world, however, we currently only support 35 countries with fully functional 2-way SMS.

We add countries to Sonar as companies reach out asking for SMS capabilities in them. If your country is not on this list of supported countries, just send us a note at [email protected].

WHICH COUNTRIES DO YOU OFFER LOCAL PHONE NUMBERS FOR?

We currently offer local phone numbers for the below countries.

• Ireland
• Israel

If you plan on using a local phone number from one of the countries above, you should notify your customers in that country of your local phone number. Customers in that country are more likely to reply to a local number.

For example, if you buy a Germany number, you'll need to notify your German customers of your German number by placing it on your German website. Messages to German numbers will automatically be from your German number. Also, German customers are more likely to reply to a German number.

Adding a Local Phone Number

In Sonar, you can add a local phone number for a specific country.

1. Click on the Menu bar and go to **Settings**
2. Click on **Number Settings**
3. Click on **Add New Country**
4. In the drop-down field, select the country of where you want the local phone number from
5. Enter a preferred area code for that country
6. Click on **Add Preference**
