Assignment Rule Expiration

When configuring a campaign you have the option to create an ‘assignment rule’. An assignment rule automates the task of assigning a customer, who has responded to your campaign message, to a person on your team. You can select a specific person who should receive assignments or select a team of people to receive assignments.

We heard feedback that some campaigns are time-sensitive (e.g. limited time offers) and have a window of time during which a dedicated person/team is available for customers who respond to the campaign.

In the February release, we added assignment rule ‘expiration’ to accommodate these campaign use cases. You can now specify a window of time (for example, 1 day, as shown in the screenshot below) where the assignment rule is effective. After the expiration time period, the assignment rule no longer takes effect.
